If you're using the IUPD host...
Why are you reading this? Whomever 149.159.29.6 is, that person seems really interested in me. I haven't been bad, I promise.

Yes, I do concur. Are you on askfred.net yet? There are big-deal tournaments every month in Mishawaka, which is like a four hour drive from here but I've wanted to check them out eventually. The next one is 11 May, but I don't know what the foil turnout would be. THey say that épée is usually a high-level tournament. You should show up at the Bloomington Fencing Club and try out épée.

i won't be back until around may 25th. yeah i'm on askfred, you can see my unexpected cross over to advanced foil. luckily it was decided i'm allowed to switch back to novice. what sucks is, if Ano's car hadn't broken down there was a chance i could've gotten a rank. part of me wants to advance to improve, but on the other hand my club wants me to stay a novice as long as possible. they've all taught me and babied me every time i got an owie, so i wouldn't do anything they didn't want me to. outside of a collegiate tournament is novice mostly kids? that's a victory i wouldn't want and i'm sure the gang would understand.

Hmmm, June doesn't look too promising for tournaments, besides FNF in Mishawaka on the 22nd. Will you still be in town then?

I rarely see partitioning between novice and expert fencing here in the Great Lakes region. Occasionally there are age-sanctioned events, but that's a different story. Seriously, at the less formal tournaments people get pulled from one weapon to another they've never touched before just to boost the USFA qualifications. There's also a Friday Night Fencing in Indy in June, but I think I'll be in NYC then.
